2) A configuration twist at the Firehouse that adds seating in the lobby for a more intimate experience and multiple vantage points from which to experience the play.

3) An innovative and deeply creative set imagined by scenic designer, Alyssa Sutherland, and assembled by the amazing team at Firehouse.

4) An absolutely fabulous and beautiful night of live theatre directed by our Artistic Director, Maggie Roop, and featuring all Richmond talent in the production design, on stage and behind the scenes.

Constellations features John-Michael Jalonen, Marie Lucas, Ashley Thompson, and Adam Turck as Marianne and Roland.

ABOUT THE PLAY: One relationship. Infinite possibilities.

Marianne and Roland meet at a party. They go for a drink, or perhaps they don’t. They fall madly in love and start dating, but eventually they break up. After a chance encounter in a supermarket they get back together, or maybe they run into each other and Marianne reveals that she’s now engaged to someone else and that’s that. Or perhaps Roland is engaged. Maybe they get married, or maybe their time together will be tragically short. Constellations is a play about free will and friendship; it’s also about quantum multiverse theory, love, and honey.
