Led by former Pinecastle recording artist, Michelle Nixon (vocals) and her husband Nick Nixon (guitar), the band is backed up by seasoned musicians like Randy Cook (Honky Tonk Experience/Commonwealth Bluegrass Band). Slate River performs classic and contemporary country music by the likes of Merle Haggard, George Jones, Alan Jackson, George Strait, Trisha Yearwood, Martina McBride, Reba McEntire, and Miranda Lambert.
