River City Community Players is pleased to announce auditions for our Fall production of The Sunshine Boys by Neil Simon.
Auditions are scheduled for July 8th and 9th from 7-9pm. Please plan on staying for the entire time. Auditions are at Gayton Kirk Presbyterian Church, 11421 Gayton Road, Henrico, Virginia, 23238.
Directors: Brandy Stevens and Chris Yarbrough
Callback Date: Thursday, July 11 from 7:30-9:30pm
Rehearsal Start: July 21, 2024
Performances: There will be 6 performances. 7:30 on September 13, 14, 20, and 21 and 2:30 on September 14 and 21. (no Sunday shows). All performances will be at Gayton Kirk Presbyterian.
No actors are paid.
Roles Available:
Ben Silverman (20s-40s, male/female/nonbinary): Willie’s nephew who works as an agent. He is kind, compassionate, and has excellent comedic timing.
Patient (any age, male/female/nonbinary: an actor part of Willie and Al’s comedy act, The Doctor’s Sketch
Eddie (40s or older, male): TV producer for CBS
Nurse (20’s, female): an actor part of Willie and Al’s comedy act, a sexy nurse
Registered Nurse (50’s, female): a kind and sarcastic nurse who attends to Willie after he falls ill
The roles of Willie and Al have been precast.
