AUDITION ALERT!!!
Audition spots are now open for all of the roles for the play “To Kill a Mockingbird.” (April 6-June 22). (Strong actors)
Rehearsals begin around April 6th (Four weeks…Tentative, general schedule at auditions)
Performances run May 7-June 22 (Seven weeks…Wed. 1:30pm matinees, Thurs-Sat 7pm, Sun 3pm matinees)
Auditions will be held Thursday February 6th (Adults 12pm-7pm) (Adults and Children 5pm-7pm) with a possible callback from 7:30pm-9:30pm for some (adults and children) that may be asked to come back.
We will be accepting video submissions for TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD through the Riverside website submissions beginning Monday January 20-Sunday February 9 for those who cannot attend the auditions in person.
Preparation:
- *1–2-minute monologue of a modern play is HIGHLY recommended.
- You may also be asked to read sides.
- *Resume should reflect previous acting experience
- *8×10 Headshot
Please reserve only one sign-up slot. Adults are welcome at any of the hours from 2-7pm, children please come only during the hours of 5-7pm slots. Plan to come in and stay for the hour that you signed up. Performers will be called in to share their audition monologue at a time within that hour. You may be asked to read a side at that time. Thank you!

- Jean Louise Finch: Scout grown older, 30s-50s

- Atticus Finch: Scout and Jem’s father, and defense counsel for Tom Robinson, white male 40s-50s
- Calpurnia: the housekeeper who helped raised Scout and Jem since their mother died, black female 40-50s
- Tom Robinson: cotton field laborer accused of attacking Mayella Ewell, black male 20s-30s
- Arthur ‘Boo’ Radley: recluse neighbor white male 30-40s
- Dill: Friend of Scout and Jem, white male 8-12 years old
- Mayella Ewell: white female 18-20 accuses Tom Robinson of attacking her
- Bob Ewell: Mayella Ewell’s father 40s
- Mr Gilmer: counsel for the prosecution in the trial of Tom Robinson
- Nathan Radley: ‘Boo’ Radley’s older brother, white male 30s-40s
- Miss Maude Atkinson: a neighbor, white female 30-40s
- Miss Stephanie Crawford: neighbor, white female 30-40s
