The Lynn Theatre is casting for their next Studio Series production of a new play, WILLJEE by M Mary Sullivan, directed by Kerrigan Webb Sullivan.
Auditions will be held at Brightpoint Community College on the Midlothian campus in The Lynn Theatre on Thursday November 21st and Friday November 22nd from 6-8pm. The Midlothian campus is located at 800 Charter Colony Parkway, Midlothian VA 23114.
Prepare a one minute comedic monologue and be ready to stay later to read from the script if asked.
All roles are non union but paid. Preference is given to Brightpoint students for age appropriate roles but at least some roles (Will and Mother and maybe others) will be cast from the professional community.
Characters:
Will – late 40’s. Male presenting. Chronically unemployed or underemployed, living off the graces of family for years.
Shay – baby sister. Female presenting. Late 30’s, early 40’s. Frail looking, result of long-term illness. They are separated in age by about ten years.
Mother – mid 70’s. Female presenting. Devout, religious.
Saint Francis – yeah. Him. Entirely copper-tinted. A statue come to life. There will be an actual statue used in places as well, where noted.
